About Us (me)

I’m a one person store: from development & creation, photography, admin duties, website maintenance to packing and shipping(who knew I would be a postal worker?)-I do it all.

I am a wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend and Air Force veteran married to an active duty Army soldier.  I love to travel and my life has been one big adventure. I’m a lucky girl! My family and friends are always supportive; my kiddos drive me nuts and I love my husband to distraction.

In my ‘before’ life, I was an Air Force nurse and clinical nursing instructor at a local university. That all changed when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.  Many tough decisions and life changing circumstances resulted… It was a bumpy transition and I had a difficult time accepting my new circumstances. Insert husband, family and friends and I adapted (reluctantly and stubbornly) with their love and support.
While stationed in North Carolina, I was fortunate enough to find a creative outlet. I discovered fused glass art. This was followed by a military move to California. I studied pottery, hand building and creative sculpture at a local college. It was Love at first ‘throw”. Several moves and many years later, we’ve settled in WA state where I get to “throw” clay every day in my little blue studio in our big back yard.

I am inspired by life and nature. If it piques my interest, you’ll see it in my art. Hiking and kayaking the Pacific Northwest, camping, tropical vacations and my roots in Louisiana frequently manifest into tactile reality… you’ll see them all as recurring themes in my pottery and fused glass creations.

It’s been a wonderful journey and I love every day. You’ll find me smiling and happily playing in mud. I hope my pottery brings a bit of happiness and whimsy into your life as it has with mine.
